Hmm... the second time I've experienced this kind of difficulty in an external math competition. Reminds me of the Asia Pacific Mathematics Olympiad for Primary Schools I went for in p6. Anyway let's review two of the questions:
A number is less than 2008. When divided by 3, it gives a remainder of 2. When divided by 5, it gives a remainder of 4. What is the sum of all the digits of the largest such possible number?
I thought for 15 minutes. Then gave up.
