Good Friday

I thought it would be appropriate to post this since its Good Friday.

At the end of the day, its not about how much we jump or how loudly we sing. It isnt about whether the band playing the song is good or not. It isnt about how much of the lyrics we remember, it isnt about how much we know about it all.

A song alone means nothing. Nothing.

Is your heart still in it? Is what matters God, or the music?

What matters, is God.

When the music fades
All is stripped away
And I simply come

Longing just to bring
Something that's of worth
That will bless Your heart

I'll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required

You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart

I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus
I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
When it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus

King of endless worth
No one could express
How much You deserve

Though I'm weak and poor
All I have is Yours
Every single breath

I'll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required

You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart

I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus

I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
And it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus

I'm coming back to the heart of worship,
And it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus

I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it
And it's all about You,
It's all about You, Jesus

Yes indeed, it is about the heart. On this Good Friday, I would like to remind everyone that while everyone celebrates this day as a holiday, and im not saying its not worth celebrating, Good Friday is in remembrance of the day that Jesus Christ died on the cross for all our sins. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believed in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Good Friday, was the day that all our sins, nailed him upon that cross, when he died a horrible death, suffered worse than any of us can imagine. Drained of your blood till you're empty. Died from the slow painful death from suffocation. All these while nailed to a cross for things you never did. Nailed to the cross for sins that you did not commit. Nailed to the cross for the sins, of others.

Jesus is the scapegoat. Innocent, and yet suffered. And he did it willingly, all for love. He didnt die for us when we loved him, he didnt die for us for we were righteous. He died for us because he loved us, he died for us even though we were still sinners, he died for us, the very same people who killed him.

Crucified
Laid behind a stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone
Like a rose
Trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all

Thank you Lord, for your one perfect sacrifice.
