A random thought I had about a week ago

This is actually part I of III of some deep philosophical stuff (with this probably being the least) haha but I never actually got round to posting them because things happened.

Im interested to know. Science people do explain.

If Earth is orbiting at a speed of 107218km/h that would mean that all of us are traveling through space at that speed as well because we are on Earth and we move together with Earth.

For us the people who are on the ground, we might say it is due to inertia or something like that, and we dont feel it for whatever reasons.

But, if we are in flight, say, birds, then does this whatever concept we work in still apply? Think of it this way, perhaps if we were in a train, and we jumped, yes inertia might carry us abit so we still move together with the train, but what if we were suspended for a longer period of time? If we are still on the train, there is a force acting on us to allow us to keep moving forward, but suspended in the air, the only force is air resistance and it slows us down. So eventually if we kept 'floating' (imagine lol I know its not possible) in the train, would it make sense that we would eventually slow down and the train would move faster than us?

So for the birds which are in constant flight, at the comparatively huge speed that Earth is moving at, complicate it with the fact that other than orbiting around the Sun, Earth is spinning on its Axis, and then the Earth and the Sun are both orbiting around the centre of the Milky Way, wouldnt it be logical to say they would be, like, I dunno what would happen, flung into space or something lol. It doesnt really seem to make sense to me but we see with our eyes that they do keep flying.

And they fly at the same speed no matter which direction the Earth is moving. Can anyone explain to me this phenomenon?

Lets take it to a higher level. Lets not consider matter. Let us consider energy.

Sound. It travels at 1236km/h. It is unaffected by inertia or any of the laws that affect matter because its energy.

In practice, we know that if something moves faster than the speed of sound, for example a bullet, it may hit its target before the gunshot is even heard.

So, if Earth is traveling that crap load amount faster than sound, wouldnt it be logical that we shouldnt be able to hear anything?

For simplicity's sake, lets think of Earth moving in a straight line for now. If you are standing on my left, Earth is travelling to the right, and you speak to me. However, while your words are coming towards me at 1236km/h, we are both moving in the same direction at 107218km/h, thus effectively, your words should not be able to reach my ears.

Im really interested to know how this works. Someone tell me and show me my ignorance please.

Whatever the explanation might be, it seems like a miracle to me.

I think people dont think enough about the mysteries of this universe we are in.

No prize to guessing the inspiration of these thoughts.

The lyrics are cryptic. But if you really dig into them and interpret them, perhaps you'll find great meaning in it.

Miracles. This world we live in is a miracle.

Ideas that you'll never find,
All the inventors could never design.

Some things you have to believe,
But others are puzzles, puzzling me.

And birds go flying at the speed of sound,
To show you how it all began.
Birds came flying from the underground,
If you could see it then you'd understand.
