A lie is a dangerous thing. Just a tiny small one when found out can destroy whatever confidence one has had in another. The bigger the lie though, the more deadly its effect. A big lie exposed can break the bonds of trust build up over years, over decades, in seconds. We aren't even talking about scars, sometimes the wounds don't even ever heal and people die to these emotional injuries.
So don't. People often think they can hide the truth but they can't.
And even if against the odds, the lie is never revealed, what damage have you done to yourself? How can you stand accountable before God?
You can lie to man but not to God.
