Riot :O

I honestly expected to see plenty of:

'STUPID BANGLAS GET OUT OF OUR COUNTRY"
and
"PAP made a mistake by letting foreigners in, GE2016 they will die"
and
"The SOF should have shot them all dead, better for the nation"

But instead I found:

"The foreigners are ill treated in our nation, the release of their pent up frustration shows that its high time we learn to better look out for their welfare"
and
"Can we really live without foreign workers? If we can't then we really ought to reflect on this incident and our xenophobic tendencies"
and
"Kudos to the swift and strong response by the task force, thankfully no one was killed in the riots"

Well yes there definitely are troublemakers outside my newsfeed but even comments om news sites seem more geared towards positive feedback than more stirring? I tend to be quite cynical about the average singaporean but this does give me hope.

Perhaps this can be a catalyst to build deeper understanding and lessen tensions within the country.

That being said, foreigner or not, such behavior is unacceptable and it is good that a strong stance is being taken against it.

Also, putting aside the massive outbreak let's not forget the tragedy that sparked it all.
