As someone who is politically neutral, I have to say, I am genuinely impressed by DPM Tharman Shanmugaratnam in this interview. Worth every minute of it. You may or may not agree with some of the key policies in Singapore, but you have to admit he has clear, solid argument for them, he damn well knows what he is talking about.
Sackur is so annoying though. I don't mind the narrow views and the white man's burden he seems to be carrying as the questions Sackur raised are indeed common criticisms of Singapore. By asking the questions he acts as the devil's advocate and this gives an opportunity for Tharman to respond to them. For goodness sake though...can you stop interrupting the man and let him talk?
